This hand-knotted Afghan Chobi is a masterful reinterpretation of the heritage Serapi designs of the Persian highlands. Utilizing a dense double-knot technique and a low-pile finish, the rug features an expansive field of stylized palmettes and geometric vines that create a sense of organized movement. The "Chobi" (meaning wood-like) process involves using hand-spun wool and vegetable dyes to achieve the soft, stonewashed patina that distinguishes this piece as a modern heirloom.
